Episode 96: The Caliber of YOSHI-HASHI

June 24, 2026
The tournament with spots in the "G1 CLIMAX 36" on the line. Wolf Aaron's very first entry into the G1 has been made official. I was genuinely blown away by that inherent aura of a true powerhouse he possesses, as well as the sheer potential he displayed on this day.
However, as I watched that entire bout play out, my eyes were completely glued to the "other man" in the ring.
Yes—YOSHI-HASHI. He stood as a towering wall right in front of Wolf, dragging out the inner "monster as a professional wrestler" from within him to the absolute limit. Following the match, Wolf himself commented, "That was the longest match duration I've ever experienced in my life."
The man who beat the brutal, grueling reality of pro-wrestling straight into Wolf's very bones—while simultaneously cementing a bout that made everyone think, "Now this is pro-wrestling"—was YOSHI-HASHI. It was made possible by his extraordinary wrestling IQ, his bottomless resilience in absorbing punishment, and the relentless hard work he has piled up to this exact day.
Pro-wrestlers possess a very distinct, special kind of resolve. While it's difficult to put into words, it’s a mindset of: "I am stronger, I am superior to the person standing across from me!" YOSHI-HASHI unleashed a merciless, relentless barrage of knife-edge chops against Wolf. Seeing Wolf’s chest swell up to a bright crimson red from those chops, and watching him rise to his feet over and over again with a face twisted in agony... I wonder if I was the only one who thought, "Ah, Wolf has officially become a true professional wrestler right now."
As a result, the ticket to the G1 slipped into the hands of Wolf. For YOSHI-HASHI, it must have been an unimaginably frustrating conclusion.
However, through this specific battle, I was once again firmly reminded of YOSHI-HASHI's massive "caliber" as a wrestler. Because I truly believe it was none other than the pride of YOSHI-HASHI as a professional wrestler that drew out 100% of Wolf Aaron's latent potential.
