Episode 95: Saturday and Sunday Consecutive Series

June 23, 2026

It has been half a year since I became the full-time President. I want to attend as many events as I possibly can. However, when you go to the office from Monday to Friday and then head straight to the match venues on Saturday and Sunday... wa... wait, I have absolutely no days off, do I?!

Well, I don't get tired, so I'm completely fine, though (laughs).

To be honest, what I actually do when I arrive at a venue isn't set in stone each time. Because I have a deep-seated habit of believing that "work is something you must find for yourself," I keep moving around all over the place.

At the Kimitsu event in Chiba, I took charge of the same-day ticket booth. To everyone who purchased their tickets on the spot that day, thank you so much! In reality, you were all being thoroughly observed by Tanahashi. Hehehe. I was analyzing things like the male-to-female ratio, the age demographics, and which seating categories were being selected.

While sitting inside that same-day ticket booth, I was secretly daydreaming and inventing the backstory behind two male customers having to buy their tickets on the day of the show: "Hey, New Japan Pro-Wrestling is coming to Kimitsu soon." "Oh, really?! Are you going?" "I plan on it... as long as I can finish up my work." "I see. Well, if it looks like you can make it, hit me up."

Also at the Kimitsu venue, our former ring announcer Ozaki-san had his food truck set up. I kept projecting strong mental waves into the universe thinking, "Man, I really want to eat some tacos~" until Ozaki-san actually brought me some as a supportive treat. Seriously, this guy deserves a pay raise!

The following day, at the Sagamihara event in Kanagawa, I managed the same-day ticket booth again until the absolute last minute before the doors opened. However, because the service window of that particular ticket booth was incredibly small, the customers purchasing their tickets could only see my hand reaching out to hand them the ticket.

After that, I hung out at the merchandise stands inside the arena until the matches kicked off. To everyone who called out to me, thank you so much! I was able to feel the expressions of the people looking forward to New Japan Pro-Wrestling, and the palpable atmosphere thick with anticipation for the matches about to begin. Experiencing that never changes; it is always deeply gratifying.

Right now, my mind is completely occupied by one thing: "How can I further expand and convey the pure joy of watching professional wrestling live?" Spending my time focusing on that is, after all, highly enjoyable for me. Even though it means completely surrendering my Saturdays and Sundays, I don't have a single shred of regret (tears of joy) (T ^ T).

Above all, as the President, keeping a firm pulse on the actual atmosphere of the live events is a deeply critical task.
