Episode 67: My First Business Trip in a While

April 30, 2026

Since retiring as a wrestler, it goes without saying that I no longer go on tours.

I entered the Dojo in March 1999 and went on my first tour from June to July that year—traveling through Tohoku and Hokkaido as a personal assistant to Choshu-san and Muto-san.

For the next 26 years, my life was defined by traveling all over Japan.

Now, I’m putting all my effort into office work, but I’m finally heading out on a long-term business trip.

The schedule is packed with greetings to our sponsors and PR for our upcoming events, so I’m heading out with a focused mindset. I’m even planning to hop on the wrestler bus for the first time in ages. I wonder how that’s going to make me feel?

I’m really looking forward to experiencing the atmosphere of the venues and seeing the wrestlers' fighting spirit firsthand.

The schedule for this trip is mostly set, but I believe the real importance lies in how I use the "blank spaces" in between. I want to work even harder than what's expected of me—that’s just my personality, after all.

With that decided, all that’s left is to power through my tasks for the week from April 29th to May 5th with everything I’ve got.

The word 【Task】. Since becoming President, I’ve had many more opportunities to use it.

For the students reading this, let me give you a simple explanation. I’m still coming across so many business terms I need to learn, and there are many moments where I feel like my head is spinning (Waaaaaah!), so it’s better to get a head start!

【Task】: Simply put, it means "work that needs to be done" or "an assigned duty." By practicing "Task Management," you can visualize your work and deadlines, allowing you to work more efficiently.

There are 【Single-tasks】 and 【Multi-tasks】. Handling two or more things at once is called 【Multi-tasking】.

See? You’ve just gained a new piece of knowledge. "Preparation prevents failure." You never know when you might suddenly be appointed as a President! (Actually, that doesn't happen very often).

Anyway, I’m looking forward to this tour after such a long time. I can't wait to see you all!
