Episode 145: Mission 7

September 3, 2026

From September 18th to the 20th, I'll be heading to Hokkaido.

On the 18th, it's wrestling at Chitose Airport. On the 19th, the Muroran show. It's a 3-day, 2-night Hokkaido tour. As President, my main objective is to oversee things directly on site.

Therefore, I've set several "missions" for this upcoming Hokkaido trip.

The 1st mission is to hear the raw, direct voices of the fans. Normally when I'm at the office, I inevitably spend a lot of time thinking while looking at numbers and documents. However, the answers in pro wrestling reside at the venue.

Why did they come out? Who are they cheering for? What are they looking forward to? I want to ask them directly as much as possible.

The 2nd mission is to observe the wrestlers from outside the ring. Their personalities and character traits that aren't visible through matches alone, as well as how they interact with the fans. Precisely because I've become President, I might discover brand new charms in our wrestlers.

The 3rd mission is to explore the possibilities in Hokkaido. Businesses, local governments, media, schools, sports, tourism... Is there a way for New Japan Pro-Wrestling and Hokkaido to connect in an even more exciting form? I'll be going with that perspective in mind as well!

...And one more important thing.

It's to feel "just how deeply New Japan Pro-Wrestling is loved" in Hokkaido (smooth talker style)!

Precisely because I no longer step into the ring, I believe there are things I can feel by going to the venues not as a wrestler, but as President.

As I kept thinking about all this, my list of missions kept growing and growing.

However... it's Hokkaido, after all. In that case, this one simply cannot be left out.

【Final Mission】 Eat delicious Hokkaido food! Seafood, Genghis Khan (grilled mutton), ramen...

This is by no means play. It's a proper market research study to discover the charms of Hokkaido (a choice by someone who already knows them all too well)—or rather, to convey them to everyone ( ̄(工) ̄).

For 3 days and 2 nights, I'll properly observe, listen, feel, and eat. I want to connect whatever I find in Hokkaido to the future of New Japan Pro-Wrestling.

Now then, off to Hokkaido. I'm going to clear every single mission on this trip!

Especially that last mission... ♪
