Episode 120: Uemura Aaron

July 31, 2026
The Kagawa show of the G1. The main event for this day was Yuya Uemura vs. Wolf Aaron. Actually, this match was Wolf Aaron's very first time main-eventing a singles match.
As I mentioned to all our employees during our morning meeting, "appearing in the main event" doesn't just mean your match is scheduled last. It means carrying the full weight of the fans' satisfaction for that entire day on your shoulders. It means properly bringing the high energy of the venue to a satisfying landing. In other words, it means bearing the "responsibility of closing out the show."
Looking back on my own experience, I don't really remember much about the day I was first entrusted with a main event... (Hey, hold on now!).
I feel like the atmosphere in the locker room was different than usual. It felt like that very first step onto the entrance ramp was heavier than usual.
However, that exact heaviness was actually the progressive overload required to lift myself to the next level.
Responsibility can feel overwhelming when placed on you, but once you overcome it, you realize you've grown a size bigger. It's just like weight training—no resistance, no growth. No pain, no gain!
For Wolf Aaron, today was precisely that day of "first overload." Rather than whether it goes smoothly or not, what matters most is what he brings home from carrying that weight.
Kagawa is the home of Sanuki udon. They say the deliciousness of udon is determined by its koshi (chewiness/firmness), but what Wolf needs tonight is precisely a battle fought with a firmly grounded koshi (waist/lower body). Heh heh heh. Nailed it.
And this isn't a story restricted to inside the ring. As I told all our staff during the morning meeting, there is a "personal main event" every single day in company work as well.
Whether it's a massive project or a single small phone call, you tackle it with full responsibility. The people who face those moments head-on are the ones who steadily grow.
Just like the "Sun" baton passed down to Yuya Uemura, responsibility too is handed off from person to person, making each individual a size bigger in the process.
Tonight in Kagawa, and in the office starting tomorrow—may everyone become the main character of their own story.
